2012-A Year in Review
JANUARY
We started seeking the Lord for His direction and purpose for our family.
FEBRUARY
Condo For Sale!
We put up our condo for sale thinking that we would just move into a home with a little more space in the same area we live now in Jenison. However we were never really felt at peace with that decision. We always wanted to move out of Jenison to the country. So we were unsure of where we would really go, but felt the Lord leading us to put the condo up for sale, so we did.

APRIL
Ever since we started working with the Senior High Youth Group at church we have always wanted to go on the Spring Break trip. We kept saying, "Oh well, will go next year", but we never did. It wasn't until God opened our eyes to the importance of Jody being a stay at home mom that we were able to go, because Jody was never able to get that week off. So we were so excited to be able to go!
We didn't go to see if this was were God was calling our family. We just went because we were finally able to go. God knew that He was calling us to Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go, and we believe it was Him who helped us realize the importance of Jody staying home, and that this would open the door for us to go on the trip.
Spring Break Trip
Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go

We were also able to visit with our great friends Steve and Cat, and their kids while on the trip!
Analise overcame some of her fears of bugs on the trip, and held this Caterpillar. We were in shock!
Signed and Accepted offer on our Condo!
We have had our condo on and off the market for the past 6 years, and never had a single offer. Then when we come home from the spring break trip and realize God's call on our lives to serve with Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go, we receive an offer on our condo for $500 more then what we prayed for.
Praise the Lord! Thank you Ron Villerius for all your help.
MAY
We started talking with the directors at Camp to see what our next steps were to become full-time missionaries with CBM (Children's Bible Ministries) and Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go.
JUNE
We were able to go down for a week to Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go to see how things were run.
While there we were also able to fill out the application for service, meet with the camp board, and be accepted on staff!
Our Family with the Camp Directors Dave and Cathy Johnson
We were so thankful that Jody's mom was able to come with us for the week,
she was such a great help!
Analise's favorite room at camp was the "Staff Cabin" she loved to play the piano, and sing her made up songs.
JULY
We started sharing with our family and friends about the call God placed on our lives, and our desire to serve the Lord at camp. It was truly an answer to prayer how excited everyone was for us.
We were able to meet with our church Mission's Committee and start the process of Jenison Bible becoming our sending church.
SEPTEMBER
Praise the Lord, after 5 months of waiting we finally signed the papers and closed on the sale of our condo. It took a long time, but this really was a God thing. This gave us time to figure out all the details about becoming a CBM Missionary.
OCTOBER
Candidate Training School in Townsend, TN at the Tuckaleechee Retreat Center
This was such an amazing week. It was great to be able to spend a week away for just the two of us. It was also extremely helpful. The training we received was very detailed in what we needed to know to grow a strong and healthy support team. All the questions that we had going in were answered.
The Beautiful Smokey Mountains!
The Candidates with our instructor Luke Milam.
Aaron, Jody, Sarah, and Andrew
Once training was complete we became official CBM Missionaries.
After training school finished we were able to head over to Claiborne County and be a part of one of the Released Time Bible Classes.
Here the kids loaded the bus and headed to the church that was about a mile away. There was about 68, 5th and 6th graders. They did 3 release time classes that day in just one school because there are so many kids that come. Praise the Lord!
Arriving at the church. When we were at camp in June this summer, this bus had 3 transmission seal leaks, and Aaron was able to fix them all.
November/December
When we came home from training school we started building our support team. It has been so much fun being able to meet with family and friends and share with them the call God has placed on our lives, and explain in more detail the ministry and what we will be doing.
We are praising the Lord for how quickly our team of partners is growing. Currently we are at 41% of our financial support needs. Our 100% goal is $3,500 a month. Once we are at 70-75% in our support then we will be able to head down to TN. We are trusting the Lord for His timing.
100% Goal: 3,500
Current Support 41%: $1,465
75% Goal to leave is: $2,625
